Your therapist – Rod Finch LSSM Dip, MISRM, MCNHC.

I completed my training at the London School of Sports Massage (LSSM). The LSSM is recognised nationally as well as worldwide for its quality of training. It currently provides the highest nationally recognised qualification that is available to sports and remedial massage therapists. The LSSM is highly respected and a number of graduates currently work for National Sporting Bodies including Athletics, Triathlon, Sailing and Diving. I am a member of the Institute of Sports and Remedial Massage as well as the Complimentary and Natural Healthcare Council. The LSSM prides itself on providing the highest and most professional standards. At the same time it   encourages all qualified members to continue and enhance their knowledge through Continued Professional Development

Since setting up my own private practice in Newtown, Newbury, my portfolio of clients has grown to include Thatcham Town Football Club, Newbury and Team Kennet Athletics Club as well as members of the general public. I work with a variety of clients, a number of whom are recognised nationally in their field of chosen sport, and many who are suffering from the general wear and tear of modern life. I treat clients from a wide spectrum of ages ranging from 11 to 75.

I have always been involved in sport and since leaving school concentrated on athletics. I competed internationally for Great Britain on many occasions in events from 1500m to 10k. My greatest achievement was winning a European Indoor Bronze medal over 3000m in 1994. It was whilst competing that I experienced first hand the benefits that good massage can bring to both performance and wellbeing. I am totally committed and understand both the psychological and physiological demands of the sporting or occupational environment, whether in the prevention or effective treatment of injuries.
